To all of our PS players - you probably noticed that we released a patch for Forever Skies.

To make sure we have properly communicated all the changes to you, read the changelist below.

ADDED:

  • Research Parts added to both Underdust locations and Temporary Camp

  • Option to leave the game to the desktop from the Pause Menu

  • Added navmesh to The Workshop and Cosmodrome so Friendly Insect Pet can follow the player

  • Gamepad input settings to Settings

  • Sound for a player passing out

  • Missing translations

  • Missing sounds


CHANGED:

  • Energy Crystals can now be found on both Wild Habitat and New Nature Territory

  • Energy Crystals can now be found in the Colossal Life Form cave in the New Nature biome

  • Better detection range of Garden Pots placed under Sprinklers, less probability of those not being watered down with Sprinklers

  • Underdust Discoveries set list adjusted

  • The Dust Territories Discoveries set list has been adjusted

  • Added Biomass to the research cost of the Extractor Module: Organic to lessen the chances of passing the gate to the 2nd Biome without the player visiting a Greenhouse Location

  • Locations updated on the world map so as not to spawn in the biome gates

  • Sprinklers watering time reduced

  • Sprinklers work when Garden Pots are out of water only

  • Garden Pots collisions reduced so they can be placed closer together

  • Automatic Deck Extractor crafting recipe changed (Fiberglass added)

  • The trigger for clients in a co-op session for the final cutscene was reduced

  • Paint Tool now contains 4 basic paints after acquiring this tool

  • Simplified controller’s Adaptive Triggers conditions for some tools

  • Sleeping Lily Fruit research has been removed since the player gets its crafting recipe directly

  • Stamina Booster is now a reward from extracting Photophobia Virus Sample (previously assigned to Pyrexia)

  • Proper floating Biomass inscription added

  • Extracting Biomass grants a blueprint for Biomass Fuel

  • Biomass Fuel crafting recipe changed (Clean Water >> Dirty Water)

  • Wrecked Paint Tool added, and Complex and Unique Paint Cartridges removed from Radio Tower Variants Discoveries

  • Large Bottle removed from Garden Variants Discoveries

  • Wrecked Big Water Tank moved from Overgrown Surface Lift to Underdust: Suburbs Discoveries

  • Decoy added to Garden Variants Discoveries

  • Hardened Creepers removed from Underdust Discoveries

  • Garden Pots added to Overgrown Tower Discoveries

  • Wrecked Flashlight added and Flashlight removed from Communication Point Discoveries

  • Diver Pearls and Diver Pearls Seeds removed from Overgrown Surface Lift Discoveries

  • Meteor Bean and its Seeds removed from Overgrown Surface Lift Discoveries

  • Small Backpack added to Garden Variants Discoveries

  • Medium Backpack added to Underdust Variants Discoveries

  • Organic Printer removed from the Blueprints menu

  • Pig Smile and Northstar Discoveries changed from Fruits to Seeds

  • Lobster Pepper plants added to Greenhouse towers again

  • All Plants should have their boiled versions (instead of an Overcooked Meal)

  • Only the first intake of the Cure plays its animation

  • The virus, which the player is infected with, is named Grey Plague and updated in the Database entries

  • The distiller message log informs about finishing the whole process instead of every stack of distilled liquid

  • Synchronize plants growing times with the water quantity in the soil

  • Slight change in a selected inventory slot for better visibility

  • Research Computer inscription adjusted

  • Metal Collector ghost position adjusted

  • Research Parts textures changed

  • Wrecked Deck Extractor icon changed

  • Viewing Corner dimensions adjusted

  • Stair Rooms dimensions adjusted

  • Inverted Cockpit model adjusted

  • World generation minor changes to prevent spawning locations on other locations

  • Collisions on some locations adjusted

  • Biome surroundings heights adjusted

FIXED:

  • Fixed a bug with a lack of proper lootable items in The Workshop

  • Fixed a bug where the game crashed when players held keys on some of the game triggers

  • Fixed a bug where the equipping tool animation was missing when no previous tool was equipped

  • Fixed a bug with the Discoveries counter disappearing on the HUD for clients in a co-op session

  • Fixed a rare bug where the game crashed when players were travelling in a lift on a location close to a Colossal Life Form event

  • Fixed a bug with AI-Tree location missing translations

  • Fixed a bug where resources on a Standard Wind Farm lower landing pad were visible & floating midair after scanning the Wrecked Basic Turbine and then visiting a different Standard Wind Farm

  • Fixed a bug where consuming items from dropped stacks removed the whole stack but gave a boost from a single item only

  • Fixed a bug where clients, after joining a co-op session, couldn’t see the quest log on their HUD

  • Fixed a bug where players saw the wrong color of ghosts while placing items on an airship

  • Fixed a bug where the Capsule Drop POI looked different for clients in a co-op session than for the host

  • Fixed a bug where clients in a co-op session weren’t able to scan or extract some Organic Matter objects in The Wall gate

  • Fixed a bug where the Garden Pots preview stayed visible after the player moved the Sprinklers

  • Fixed a bug where the ghost previews for Garden Pots, flickered while the airship was moving

  • Fixed a bug where the Swimming Colossal Life Form wasn’t disappearing after the player approached its POI

  • Fixed a bug where the Select Item menu was opening when the player wanted to pick up an object from the ground with a controller

  • Fixed a bug where debris was flying through different locations

  • Fixed a bug with the Backpack inventory slots not being refreshed properly when the player swapped between different Backpacks

  • Fixed a bug with a missing Small Water Tank research

  • Fixed a bug with wrong collisions on a Basic Engine, which made it hard to move or pick up

  • Fixed a bug where the Capsule Drop icon wasn’t shown on the Radar

  • Fixed a rare bug where a client in a co-op session saw the Extractor ray pointed in a weird direction instead of towards the extracted object

  • Fixed a bug with many invisible collisions in the Underdust.

  • Fixed a bug with the player changing their look direction after using the Select Item menu with a controller

  • Fixed a bug with proper Silicon Towers presence in the world

  • Fixed a bug where parts of the HUD were visible during the Cure check cutscene in the Medical Station

  • Fixed a bug where Luciferin POI wasn’t grayed out on a Radar after exploration

  • Fixed a bug where Descent to the Underdust “!” mark stayed on the Radar after leaving this location

  • Fixed a bug where the player’s position while using the Medical Station changed when an airship was flying

  • Fixed a bug where Radar was placed upside down after loading a game or moving it

  • Fixed a bug where clients in a co-op session weren’t able to open some of the Workshop containers with a Cutting Tool

  • Fixed a bug where player could lock their movement after using Cure from any container other than the inventory

  • Fixed a bug where Workshop Discoveries contained Electronic Parts, which are no longer in the game

  • Fixed a bug where Friendly Insect Pet stayed in its cage after being rescued by a client in a co-op session

  • Fixed a bug where Medical Station collisions prevented placement of other devices, floor down below it

  • Fixed a bug where the Studies menu displayed template UI with Solar Panels

  • Fixed a bug where a player standing from a chair could’ve been flying and falling off an airship

  • Fixed a bug where a player using a controller had an additional, invisible row between Inventory and Backpack

  • Fixed a bug where Friendly Insect Pet could get lost forever after player death

  • Fixed a bug where Friendly Insect Pillow could be lost when placed on Catwalks and taken by a Scrapwing Hatchery

  • Fixed a bug where Colossal Life Forms' unfinished events weren’t presented on Radar for clients after joining a co-op session

  • Fixed a bug where blueprints in Artifact Trade Station and Technology Printer could be bought more than once

  • Fixed a bug where the HUD Discoveries counter disappeared after interacting with a ladder

  • Fixed a bug where Discoveries stopped working after petting a Friendly Insect Pet

  • Fixed a bug where Discoveries didn’t update properly when a new location was discovered

  • Fixed a bug where the player couldn’t switch filters on an empty container of a Filtering Deck Extractor

  • Another set of vines, which could spawn on Wild Habitat arenas removed

  • Level design and level art on some locations for better exploration

  • Fixed a bug where players could get stuck in sheds at the Workshop if they ran out of repair patches and resources needed to craft them

  • Fixed a bug in co-op sessions where Friendly Insect Pet was not showing in other Underdust: Tunnels when it wasn’t rescued during the first visit to such location

  • Fixed a bug where clients in a co-op session were flickering while the lift was moving

  • Fixed a bug where Thunderstorms were looping indefinitely, which resulted in lowering performance

  • Additional performance tweaks

  • Missing localization added



KNOWN ISSUES:

  • There are some missing translations - they will be completed before the release

  • There’s a rare bug where the radial menu (C key bind) stops working and requires a save and reload to start working again

  • There’s a bug in co-op sessions where Friendly Insect Pet is not showing in other Underdust: Tunnels when it wasn’t rescued during the first visit to such location

I’ve been following the Forever Skies updates closely, and this patch actually fixed a bunch of things that were making co-op kind of painful — especially the radar glitches and missing interactions. Performance feels smoother too, which is a relief because the game is gorgeous when it isn’t fighting you.

On a side note, while waiting for bigger content drops I usually switch between games and a couple of betting apps just to chill on the couch.
